Europe Healthcare M&A North America

US — IMS Health has bought business intelligence applications and analytics firm Forcea, which works with hospitals and life science companies to support their performance management capabilities.

Forcea is based in Belgium and was founded in 2006.

“Advancing healthcare quality through technology innovation is a goal that we share with IMS Health, and we’re very excited to join that team,” said Frank Swaelens, co-founder and managing partner at Forcea.

The deal follows in the wake of IMS Health’s IPO last month.
