UK— Volvo Ocean Race has appointed IFM Sports Marketing Surveys as its research consultant for the 2011-2012 event, which starts in Spain next month.
The research firm will provide figures on media audiences, sponsorship exposure and the impact the race has on consumers in key territories.
This year’s event is the 11th time the race has been run, and six boats will cover 39,000 miles across four oceans and five continents.
