US— Computing giant IBM has completed its $1.7bn takeover of data warehousing and analytics firm Netezza, taking its recent spending on analytics acquisitions to more than $14bn.
The deal was announced in September this year after the two companies had worked “for many years” as strategic partners, and is the 24th analytics-related acquisition IBM has made in the last four years.
IBM said that Netezza will now be integrated into its Information Management software portfolio.
