IAG Research founder joins Harris board

US— Harris Interactive has appointed Alan Gould to its board of directors, where he will chair a new committee on product innovation.

Gould founded IAG Research in 2000 and stayed on after the firm was bought by Nielsen for $250m in 2008. In 2009, he became CEO of Nielsen-owned Advertiser Solutions, which offers end-to-end marketing solutions for advertisers.

He is currently executive in residence at venture capitalist Greycroft Partners.

Howard Shecter, chairman of Harris’ board of directors, said: “Alan’s deep experience in driving growth through innovation will be a tremendous asset as the company further develops its mobile strategy, leverages its Research Lifestreaming platform and pursues other new product initiatives.”
