UK — Political blogger Paul Staines – AKA Guido Fawkes – is one of four names behind a new big data analysis company, Wess Digital, that aims to support political and charity campaign work.
Wess is building up a database of the millions of people who have backed various different issue-based campaigns over the years in order to put together profiles of political behaviour.
This information will then be made available to political parties and charities to help them with their digital outreach strategies.
Staines has co-founded the business alongside managing director Andrew Whitehurst, Matthew Elliott, founder of the TaxPayers’ Alliance, and Jag Singh, the YouFundMe founder who worked with Elliott on the ‘No to AV’ referendum campaign.
The company is online at wessdigital.com.
