UK – The Global Research Business Network (GRBN) is working with the Market Research Society (MRS) and nine other national research associations to update the GRBN Global Trust Survey.

Last conducted in 2018, the research measures the level of public trust in research companies compared with a range of other organisations and sectors.

This year, the survey will explore how trust in market and social research, and other sectors including government and media, has been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The fieldwork will take place at the end of April, with findings set to be published in June.

The Australian Market & Social Research Society (AMSRS), the Insights Association in the US and the Canadian Research Insights Council (CRIC) are also taking part.

Andrew Cannon, executive director at GRBN, said: “This survey and its findings will be the result of a collective global effort and will provide important insight into how perceptions of the research sector have changed since 2018 and the impact of Covid-19 specifically. International cooperation is more important than ever, and we thank all of the associations and commercial partners who have come together to make it happen.”

Jane Frost, chief executive of MRS, added: “Evidence and insight will be vital tools in exposing the true extent of the pandemic and in helping policy and decision-makers unpick its wide-ranging impact on society across the globe in the months and years to come.”
