UK – The government has launched a survey of the UK’s artificial intelligence (AI) and data science labour market.
The research will aim to examine AI and data science skills that organisations need, their approach to employing and training AI and data science professionals and what issues organisations face in this process.
The survey will be carried out by Ipsos Mori and will take place between August and October, and is focused on businesses and charities who already use AI or data science technology in some capac ity.
The participants have been identified by Perspective Economics and Ipsos, and will ask the person at the organisation with most knowledge of the organisation’s use of and need for AI and data science to take part in a 15-minute phone interview.
Further 45-minute follow-up interviews will take place between November and January.
