GfK takes majority stake in Genius Digital
Genius’s technology captures and analyses customer data from IP-enabled video devices. According to GfK, the investment helps the company “better meet the increasingly complex analysis needs of Pay-TV operators” through a mix of audience measurement solutions and market research-related service offerings.
Following this new investment, Jonathan Sykes will remain executive chairman of Genius Digital, while Tom Weiss continues as CEO.
In addition, Genius Digital will continue to trade under its own name and will not be integrated into GfK’s brand.
