US – Market research business Orchard has secured investment from Thornapple River Capital.

Orchard said the investment will be used to accelerate the company’s growth, bolster its technology and analytics offer and its Orchard Index scoring algorithm, and bring more solutions to the market.

The size of the investment has not been disclosed.

Founded in 2018 and based in Chicago, Orchard has developed a behavioural ‘test-and-learn’ research approach that aims to tackle the ‘say-do gap’.

The company’s platform allows innovation teams to conduct new product concept tests, and is also used by marketers to test messaging.

“I’m very proud of what the Orchard team has been able to accomplish to-date in pursuit of our mission to disrupt traditional market research and transform how brands innovate and go-to-market with higher rates of success,” said Rashed Chowdhury, chief executive and president of Orchard (pictured). “We’re excited to partner with Thornapple River Capital to fuel our next stage of growth.”
