Firm to use crowdsourcing for pricing research

Technology UK

UK/AUSTRALIA— A new online service that uses crowdsourcing to help businesses decide their pricing policy has been launched by Jon Manning, founder of pricing consultancy Sans Prix.

The service, PricingProphets, works by recruiting pricing analysts, pricing architects and professionals with pricing responsibilities to provide recommendations through the site.

Manning (pictured) said: “Using crowdsourcing, this is possibly the most affordable expert pricing advice in the world. Our website lets a panel of seasoned pricing professionals provide their expert pricing recommendations without the large price tag.”

An agency-run project might cost somewhere in the region of £65,000, according to Manning. PricingProphets would charge just a “fraction” of that, he said.
