UK — The Market Research Society’s Fair Data initiative has won the innovation award for 2015 at the Association Excellence Awards.
MRS launched its Fair Data trust mark in 2013 which consisted of 10 principles that companies must commit to for fair use of consumer data.
Jane Frost, CEO of MRS said: “MRS has been promoting ethical standards consistently across our business, and to have won an award for innovation partly reflects the growing importance of ethics to business. Fair Data is an innovation that responds to the growing importance of the proper management of personal data.”
Debrah Harding, managing director of MRS said: “Fair Data is becoming an integral part of the ‘data conversation’ and social contract between consumers and citizens, and business and society; and its importance will only increase as the digital age develops.”
