EyeTrackShop gets $3m for global expansion

US— EyeTrackShop, a start up company that develops eye-tracking software to test ad effectiveness, has raised $3m in Series A funding round from Northzone.

The firm, which was spun out of eye-tracking technology company Tobii in 2010, offers a platform for researchers to carry out online eye-tracking tests through a regular webcam setup.

EyeTrackShop said the funding will be used to accelerate its business and product development and global expansion plans.

Northzone’s general partner Jeppe Zink said: “Being able to measure instantly what and how you look at an advertisement is well on the way to becoming a must-have in a world of ever increasing competition for attention.”
