Ex-Nielsen men to help firms maximise research return

AUSTRALIA/NEW ZEALAND— Nielsen emigrees Alastair Gordon and David McCallum have launched a consultancy, Gordon & McCallum, that aims “to help agencies maximise their performance and clients optimise their research spend”.

McCallum was previously Nielsen Customised Research’s global head and Gordon was lead product developer.

The firm, will specialise in offering consultancy on expansion and growth strategies for agencies operating in the Asia Pacific region, enhancing research value, research service development and staff development.

Gordon said: “We believe research is only successful if it is creatively designed, efficiently executed and exceeds client expectations while making a good financial return to the agency. Our clients have come to us in preference to mainstream consultants as we don’t have to learn the business first before we can make an impact.”

The consultancy will operate out of Sydney, Australia and Wellington, New Zealand.
