Ex-GfK boss Lautman joins Symphony Advanced Media advisory board

US— Martin Lautman has joined the advisory board at Symphony Advanced Media (SAM), the advertising effectiveness and consumer insights firm owned by Symphony Technology Group.

Lautman has lectured on marketing, research and advertising at Cornell University Hotel School and at Columbia University, and has taught entrepreneurial marketing strategy at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.

He is the former chairman and CEO of GfK Custom Research North America and senior managing director of Arbor Research, which was sold to GfK in 2004. Since leaving GfK Lautman has been a venture capital investor focusing on marketing research, marketing services and technology companies. He is currently the managing partner of Marketing Channels.
