The Crown Commercial Services (CCS) gave notice last week that it would replace the Research Marketplace with a new DPS from 16th February 2022.

The Research Marketplace, which was launched in February 2018, allows organisations to get quick access to more than 240 research agenciesworking in social, economic and market research.

The contract for the replacement DPS, which will run until 16th February 2026 and is worth £75m a year, will open to the market in October next year.

The DPS will be available to all centralised government departments as well as other public sector bodies in the UK such as local councils, health, police, fire and rescue, education, devolved administrations and charities.

Social, economic and market research services will all be covered by the DPS, as well as policy analysis, development and advice, service insight, design, delivery, organisational reform and associated additional services.

The CCS is also undertaking market engagement with research and insights suppliers to get a greater understanding of the marketplace. Further details can be found here.
