FRANCE— Mobile analytics platform Capptain has received a $1.5m investment from Russian venture capitalists Runa Capital to help it grow its footprint in Europe, Russia and the US.
Runa Capital’s managing director Dmitry Chikhachev will take on the seat on the board at Capptain’s parent company, Ubikod.
Capptain’s technology provides real-time monitoring services to track which apps are downloaded and used and can be used to gather information from app users via surveys. It is compatible with iOS, Android, HTML5, Web OS. Blackberry/RIM and WP7 phones.
The platform had previously received funding to the tune of $500,000 in a seed round led by angel investors.
