Belgian and Swiss research associations join Efamro

BELGIUM — The European Research Federation (Efamro) has added the Belgian and Swiss research associations as its newest members, extending its reach to 14 countries across the continent.

The agreement sees the Belgian Federation of Market Research Institutes (Febelmar) and the Swiss Market and Social Research Association (VSMS-ASMS) become the two newest members of efamro.

Febelmar was founded in 1980 and represents 33 research businesses. VSMS-ASMS was founded in 1998 and represents 34 research businesses as well as over 300 individual researchers. As members of Efamro they will be able to network with over 900 businesses in 14 countries and be part of the Global Research Business Network which links 31 associations and 2800 businesses on five continents.

Andrew Cannon, Efamro president (pictured), said: “Efamro members are developing a comprehensive programme of work to support national associations, so that they can be as effective as possible in serving their members.”
