BBC invites pitches for ‘next gen’ analytics tool

Data analytics UK

UK— The BBC is on the hunt for a “next generation web analytics tool” for which it is willing to spend up to £6.9m over three years.

That’s according to a contract notice issued this week. The broadcaster is expecting to invite a minimum of five agencies to tender and interested parties have until 4 January to file a request to participate.

The BBC says it requires “an online measurement solution which not only supports the operational and tactical insight needed to ensure all its propositions are optimised to offer the best value for money for the audiences, but also caters for its regulatory reporting needs”.

It says web analytics outputs will feed in to the corporation’s Reach, Quality, Impact and Value framework, its assessment of Public Purpose, Service Licence Reviews and Continuous Improvement Programme.
