UK – Momo Amjad, joint winner of the 2018 Research Live Young Researcher of the Year award, has joined foresight business The Future Laboratory as a strategic researcher.
Amjad was previously a research manager at Bamm; and it was for her work there that she won the Young Researcher of the Year award.
She joined Bamm in 2017, having previously worked at Flamingo-owned Kiosk.
At Bamm, Amjad led a diversity research project among BAME youths and the factors that prevent them from joining the creative industries. She also set up an internship scheme helping and supporting candidates with a refugee background to get into the industry.
Amjad said: "I joined The Future Laboratory seeking new and exciting research and strategy challenges. One of the main things I was looking for from a new role was the ability to take research and its strategic implications further into a business with clients who are interested in how to shape the future of their businesses in the long term. Working with clients who are seeking innovative strategic solutions, where they see macro level global trends and big societal shifts as an exciting opportunity to do new things, has been truly rewarding so far."
