Arbitron moves Surratt into top finance role

North America People

US— Arbitron has appointed Richard Surratt as chief financial officer – a move that was planned following his appointment as executive vice president of finance in early February.

He fills the gap left by Sean Creamer, who was moved to the newly created role of executive vice president of US media services as part of a top-level reorganisation of the company last year.

Surratt was president and chief executive officer at education software provider Voyager Learning Company between 2007 and 2009, having joined the firm in 2005 as chief financial officer.

Earlier in his career he served as chief financial officer and treasurer at Atlantic Coast Airlines Holdings and held a variety of roles at Mobil Corporation, including director of the mergers and acquisitions group and treasurer for Latin America.
