Cost of living diaries: feeling the pressure

Charities Cost of Living Features Public Sector Trends UK Wellbeing

The cost of living is the UK public’s number one concern, eclipsing Covid-19, Brexit and climate change. In this webinar, Max Templer, Research Director at BritainThinks, talks through the key insights from the first wave of the ‘Cost of Living Diaries’ project, covering public attitudes and behaviours and unveiling our five key typologies amongst the public. These insights will be vital for brands, Government and the third sector, to help understand the pressures the public are feeling.

Max Templer is a Research Director at BritainThinks and leads on cost of living research. Max is a specialist mixed-methods researcher, utilising qualitative and quantitative methods to address clients’ objectives. Examples of this specialism include his use of advanced quantitative methodologies alongside qualitative approaches for clients including JRF, Cabinet Office and Which?.

Max has significant experience conducting research with vulnerable people and has a particular interest in social security, conducting multiple projects for JRF and Citizens Advice on the experiences of benefits claimants. He is also particularly interested in public attitudes towards technology, data and cyber-crime and has led our work on these topics for clients including the NCSC, DCMS, Which? and Lego.

This is the first in a series of three videos BritainThinks will be sharing on Research Live. Find out more at britainthinks.com
