The Marketing Practice expands US business

B2B M&A News North America

US – Business-to-business (B2B) marketing company The Marketing Practice has acquired account-based experience business Campaign Stars.

The acquisition, which is The Marketing Practice’s second in the US this year, will help expand the business’ growth platform for B2B companies.

Following the deal to buy Campaign Stars, The Marketing Practice has a turnover of £70m a year, employing more than 500 people across the UK, US, Australia and Germany, including 150 in the US.

The Marketing Practice’s recent expansion has been facilitated by a recent investment by private equity firm Horizon Capital.

Campaign Stars joins strategic marketing firm 90octane, which was acquired in February, as well as media, data and audience insight company Kingpin and digital experiences consultancy Omobono, which were both acquired by The Marketing Practice in 2021.

Henry Bruckstein (pictured), founder and chief executive at Campaign Stars, said: “Being part of The Marketing Practice will enable us to enhance and scale our offering effectively and give our clients access to some of the best specialists in B2B technology across the whole funnel. We’re excited to see what’s now possible as we look to the global stage.

“The Marketing Practice’s mission to be the best place to build a career in B2B marketing is also a fantastic opportunity for our people, who we’re confident will get all the benefits of working within an agile business but also receive all the advantages of being part of a global organisation too.”

Matt Harper, chief executive at The Marketing Practice, said: “We’re extremely excited about welcoming Campaign Stars into our market-leading demand generation and account-based marketing (ABM) portfolio.

“Campaign Stars fusion of technology, data and process to create account-based experiences is a big leap forward for the ABM market.”
