Tableau adds analytics tools for businesses

Data analytics News North America Technology

US – Analytics platform Tableau has launched a set of data science tools aimed at business users.

The ‘Business Science’ analytics service is part of an update to Tableau’s software platform and will allow customers to create models and access forecasting and predictions.

According to Tableau, the service will allow people to understand the drivers of an analytical model without having to learn traditional data science tools.

Francois Ajenstat, chief product officer, Tableau, said: “Data science has always been able to solve big problems but too often that power is limited to a few select people within an organisation. To build truly data-driven organisations, we need to unlock the power of data for as many people as possible.”
