UK – The Market Research Society has updated its guidance on face-to-face data collection following various announcements on easing of Covid-19 restrictions across the UK.
Researchers can now undertake face-to-face data collection when it has been determined to be the most suitable methodology to use.
The new guidance, published yesterday ( 15th June) reflects the four-week delay to lifting restrictions in England announced by the UK government this week.
The advice sets out the conditions for the resumption of face-to-face activities, including variations for the four UK nations. Practitioners must give priority to local guidance where the research is taking place.
In-home face-to-face data collection continues to be restricted to the doorstep only, and the guidance states that risk assessments must be carried out before conducting any face-to-face data collection.
