Newmarket International buys Hospitality Information Services

US— Hospitality and entertainment sales software provider Newmarket International has struck a deal to acquire market research agency Hospitality Information Services (HIS).

HIS will operate as a division of Newmarket International and its CEO, Steve Reiser (pictured), will remain in place to manage all aspects of the HIS business from its headquarters in California.

Newmarket International president and CEO Jeff Hiscox said: “HIS is the leader in delivering market intelligence solutions to the global hospitality industry and our customers have been asking us for a market intelligence offering that will allow them to find new business, increase sales and generate more revenue.”

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Reiser said: “The acquisition by Newmarket provides a great opportunity for HIS to grow by leveraging Newmarket’s industry presence and through expansion of HIS’s products, services and markets served.”
