Research Conferences booking terms & conditions
By submitting a booking you are agreeing to our standard terms and conditions below.
All invoices must be settled prior to the seminar date to ensure attendance. MRS reserves the right to reallocate a candidate’s booking or to refuse entry where payment has not been received in advance. All bookings from outside the UK must be accompanied by a bank transfer or credit card payment. Cheques and bankers’ drafts must be in pounds sterling and made payable to The Market Research Society (not MRS). Please ensure that the total amount includes VAT.
All payments must be received before any event to guarantee entry.
Early bird bookings
Payments for discounted early bird bookings must be received before the end of the early bird deadline to have the discount applied.
After the deadline, the full non-discounted rate will apply and any discount may be revoked.
Bookings from outside the British Isles
For all bookings made from outside the British Isles, we are unable to issue invoices and payment must be made with the booking.
We can gladly provide letters to assist with visa applications, but only once payment has cleared.
Tickets cover one delegate only and must not be shared. Where ticket sharing is found to have taken place we will bill the full fee for every attendee.
Cancelling or substituting
We are happy to substitute or cancel places but must be notified of any intention to do so.
Substitutions may be made in writing / by email at any time before or at our registration desk at the event, however, the difference in a delegates MRS membership status (i.e. member or non-member) may affect the final cost and we will invoice accordingly. We are unable to make any refund or cancel invoices for requests received less than 28 days before the conference is scheduled to take place.
In rare circumstances there may be occasions when changes in content, speakers, timing, location etc have to be made for reasons outside our control. We cannot accept liability for any costs or inconvenience incurred by changes to or cancellation of an event.
We can accept no responsibility for the opinions of speakers or any other persons expressed on its events.

When will my registration be confirmed?
If you booked online, you will recieve an email as soon as we process your request. If you posted or faxed a booking form, we will confirm reciept as soon as possible by email. We aim to have any invoices or reciepts for payment processed and posted within 3 days. Payment must be recieved in advance of any event to guarantee entry.

What happens next:
All delegates will be contacted directly by email at least 7 - 10 days before the conference confirming all the finalsed timings and information needed for the day.
When will I recieve my ticket?
We do not send tickets by post. Conference passes will be waiting at the Research Conferences registration desk on site.
Will I get a delegate list or conference pack?
Event information, including the delegate list, programme and speaker biographies will be waiting for delegates at the registration desk.
Will I get copies of the presentations?
Conference presentations are made available to download within 48 hours of the conference ending and emails will be sent to delegates detailing how to access them. Please note, due to copyright and market sensitivity issues, permission to distribute certain presentations may not be given to us.
How do I book if my organisation is an MRS Company Partner?
If you complete the booking form, selecting that your firm is in the ‘CPS’, we will be in contact as soon as possible to advise of your company’s current benefits.
