Emap splits into three, names insights group 4C

UK— Media group Emap has split itself into three operating companies in a move that onlookers say might precede a break-up of the group.

The holding company has been renamed Top Right Group, with the publishing arm retaining the Emap brand. Then there is the events arm, i2i and the insight and data group 4C, which includes the firms WGSN, Planet Retail and DeHavilland.

CEO Duncan Painter (pictured) said: “We’re devolving responsibility from the centre and will give our new operating companies the freedom to be more independent.”
