Web measurement firm Quantcast raises $20m funding

Founders Fund and Polaris invest in ‘open' audience measurement service

US-- Web measurement firm Quantcast has raised $20m in funding from Founders Fund and Polaris Venture Partners in a series B financing round.

Co-founder and CEO Konrad Feldman said: “Today we provide accurate and detailed audiences information for millions of web destinations and these new funds will be used to extend our leadership position and deliver enhanced services.”

Quantcast calls itself the “first open internet ratings service”. Its Quantified Publisher program allows publishers to add tags to pages to get accurate audience profiles.

Ken Howery of Founders Fund and Mike Hirshland of Polaris will join Quantcast's board of directors following the investment.
