Royal Mail's Humayun Rashid joins Citigroup

Senior research manager leaves to manage bank's growing UK research team

UK-- Humayun Rashid, Royal Mail Group's senior research manager for consumer products, has left to join Citigroup as customer research manager.

The move comes as Royal Mail Group reorganises its research activities, with the centralised function being replaced by separate departments for the group's three brands: Royal Mail, Post Office and Parcelforce.

Rashid, who spent two years with Royal Mail, joins Citigroup in the new role as the US firm expands its UK research team. He told Research: “It's a great opportunity to work for the world's biggest bank. Opportunities like this don't come by every day. It's a brand that's huge in America and has ambitions to become bigger in the UK.”

He said the new job will involve tracking customer satisfaction and advocacy, building on propositions and “trying to understand in a very difficult environment how to leverage the best products in financial services”.

Rashid's former boss Crispin Beale is also leaving Royal Mail to become CEO of Facts International.
