Omniture doubles revenue in 2008
US-- Analytics software maker Omniture more than doubled its revenue in 2008, according to figures published yesterday.
CEO Josh James told analysts that the effects of the “horrible economic environment” were being offset by demand from clients for tools to optimise their ad and marketing spend.
The firm brought in $296m in 2008, compared to $143m in 2007. It recorded a net loss for the year of $44.8m, although its non-GAAP net income (excluding adjustments and expenses related to acquisitions and tax) was $32m, up from $11.8m.
Its revenue for the fourth quarter of the year was $83m, up from $43.1m.
The firm recently signed a $25m partnership with WPP under which they will collaborate on technology, information and consulting with the aim of offering clients better customer insight.
James said WPP and Omniture staff have begun to share information and best practices as part of the agreement, with the aim of offering a higher-value service to clients through integration and familiarity with Omniture's products.
