Intage buys China's Hyperlink
CHINA-- Publisher and broadcaster XFMedia has agreed to sell its majority stake in its research business Hyperlink Market Research to Japanese agency Intage for US$11.86m.
Fredy Bush, XFMedia's CEO, said: “While Hyperlink has continued to build on its reputation as a leading market research company in China, we have decided to focus our resources on our high margin broadcast business.”
She said the sale “provides the best environment for both XFMedia and Hyperlink to achieve a new level of success”.
Tokyo-based Intage, which specialises in FMCG and syndicated research, expects the deal to be completed by the end of January.
