Henley Centre and HeadlightVision merge

Merger paves the way for international expansion

The Henley Centre, the strategic marketing consultancy is to merge with research and brand consultancy HeadlightVision, both firms are part of WPP, the global marketing services group.

Combined capabilities include customer insight, strategic brand planning and consultancy, business analysis, modelling and forecasting, futures techniques and qual and quant research.

The new firm has core offices in New York and London and will work on a joint venture in India. Sîan Davies, CEO of Henley Centre, will become CEO of the combined companies while Crawford Hollingworth, founder and CEO of HeadlightVision, will become executive chairman. The organisation will report into Kantar, WPP's insight and consultancy division.

Davies commented: “HeadlightVision will reinforce and expand Henley Centre's current consultancy, research and intelligence capabilities. In addition our successful New York office will provide a clear route for international expansion.”

Henley Centre and HeadlightVision clients include Diageo, Ford and Unilever.

A spokeswoman from Henley Centre told Research: “There will be no redundancies.”
