Ebiquity sees 'outstanding' analytics performance

UK— Media intelligence group Ebiquity has posted a 17% increase in revenue and a 75% rise in underlying operating profit for the six month period ending 31 October 2011.

Total revenue was up to £24m while underlying operating profit increased to £2.5m. Reported profit before tax was £0.2m compared to a loss of £1.2m for the same period in 2010.

The firm said that last May’s £3.5m acquisition of Echo Research had added “essential ‘non-paid’ media analytics and reputation management” to its global offering.

Chief executive Michael Greenlees (pictured) said the analytics division turned in an “outstanding performance” for the six month period.

The division saw revenue increase 51% from £7.5m to £11.4m, thanks partly to the acquisitions of Echo, Joined Up Media and Faulkner Media Management.
