Evo Research and Consulting shuts up shop in UK

UK staff move to Prescient • US and German offices could be sold to managers

UK-- Evo Research and Consulting has gone into administration in the UK.

The company's eight staff, including directors Davina O'Donoghue, Toby Newall and Juliette Terrazas, will move to Loewy Group's research company, Prescient. The directors will join the Prescient board which includes CEO Andrew Sawkins and director Ian Jenkins.

O'Donoghue formed Evo eight years ago with co-founder and ex-TRBI man Nick Johnson. Johnson is understood to have left Evo and will not be joining Prescient. Evo, Prescient and Loewy would not comment on Johnson's plans and he could not be reached for comment.

Evo has an office in the US headed up by Nicola Lindsey and one in Germany led by Daniel Plettenberg. Both offices continue to trade. Research has learned that negotiations are underway to sell remaining ownership options back to both Lindsey and Plettenberg to allow both offices to continue under their leadership. It is not known whether the Evo brand will remain with either operation.

Iain Johnston, CEO of Loewy Group, told Research that no money had changed hands in the UK. He said: “As far as we're concerned we've simply hired some people – a move we made to strengthen the team at Prescient and to do full justice to the existing clients at the company.”

O'Donoghue said: “Working with Andrew Sawkins and his team at Prescient means that we are positioned as a leading force in the industry. We double our bandwidth and continue to provide our clients with the best service and care developing their brands whilst not relinquishing our belief that the personal touch is always best.”

Sawkins, CEO of Prescient, said: “Having founded Prescient 12 years ago, this latest development plays a vital role in continuing to deliver my vision and values for the business.”
