Buyers sign up for Terapeak's eBay data

Intel and Best Buy put online auction sales figures to work

CANADA-- Terapeak, which analyses sales information from online auction house eBay, has secured deals to sell its data to Intel and Best Buy.

Executive vice president Anthony Sukow told Research that the firm had recently completed deals with the two firms on an ‘as requested' basis to supply them with eBay purchasing data.

Intel was interested in which types of processors were being sold while electronics retailer Best Buy was carrying out pricing research.

In August eBay shelved its own marketplace research tool for users, replacing it with Terapeak's software.
