Niels Schillewaert steps down from Human8 role

Schillewaert helped set up Human8 in 1997 in Antwerp, Belgium, and has overseen its global expansion and development into areas such as online surveys and panels, research communities, social media listening and academic research and education.

Human8 said that Schillewaert was departing his role to make way for a new generation of leaders but would not be announcing a replacement at the moment.

Schillewaert will remain a shareholder and non-executive partner at Human8.

Last year, Human8 promoted Camille Nicita from North America managing director to global cgief executive officer, with Kristof De Wulf stepping down after 11 years in the role.

In a post on LinkedIn, Schillewaert said he would announce his next venture in due course.

He wrote: “Looking at where Human8 stands now with its global reach due to a merge of different companies, a diversified portfolio of solutions, its own technology, a culturally diverse and incredibly talented pool of people, I can only be in awe.

“None of our achievements could have realised without the hard work and commitment of brilliant people. Looking back, I feel I have been the luckiest in that part.”

Schillewaert added: “I am convinced that the next chapter in my journey will be a good one and bring me as much personal and professional growth, passion and inspiration than Human8 did. Once that is clear, I will share more.”
