UK — Mydex CIC has become the first company to be certified by the Market Research Society (MRS) as a Fair Data enabler.
Fair Data is an accreditation launched in January 2013 by the MRS to show which companies handle their customers’ personal data fairly. To be accredited, companies must commit to 10 core principles. A Fair Data enabler is an organisation that helps others to achieve the same status.
Mydex is a community interest company that offers a platform for users to capture, organise and take control of their personal data. It works by allowing organisations to make a connection to the Mydex platform, which enables them to connect directly with individuals’ personal data stores.
“We are delighted to welcome Mydex to Fair Data,” said Jane Frost, CEO of the MRS. “As concerns over privacy grow, organisations increasingly need to be aware of the need to earn trust in all aspects of data use.
“Mydex understanding the importance of trust is signalled by their accreditation to the scheme.”
