US— Online community software provider Lithium Technologies has acquired Social Dynamx, a customer care platform that allows brands to respond to social conversations.
Social Dynamx, which lists brands such as Time Warner Cable, Dish Network and Convio on its client list, will be integrated into the Lithium product suite as an offering called Lithium Social Web.
Jim Betzer, CEO at Social Dynamx, will join the Lithium executive team and lead the Lithium Social Web business. The Social Dynamx office in Austin, Texas, will be retained along with all the company’s staff.
Lithium’s president and CEO Rob Tarkoff (pictured) said: “The addition of Social Dynamx to the Lithium platform reinforces and extends our ability to help brands drive down service costs and increase customer satisfaction and engagement by bringing community experts into the dialogue earlier.”
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
