US – Brian Lesser, North American CEO at GroupM, is leaving to take up a new role as CEO of new business at AT&T.
Lesser (pictured) was named CEO of GroupM in 2015. Prior to that, he helped to build and run the GroupM speciality buying unit Xaxis.
At AT&T, he will serve as CEO of new business focused on advertising, content, data and analytics.
According to Business Insider, this is a pivotal time for AT&T as it seeks approval of a large deal to acquire Time Warner.
