UK – Katie McQuater has been appointed as the next editor of Research-live.com and the award-winning quarterly magazine Impact – both published by the Market Research Society (MRS).
McQuater has been deputy editor of Impact and Research Live since October 2017. She writes features and reports on a wide range of topics within insights and marketing, consumer behaviour, media and technology.
Prior to joining MRS, she was magazine and features editor at marketing and advertising publication The Drum, where she spent over six years. In addition to editing and writing for Impact and Research Live, she regularly participates in public speaking and moderating panel discussions on issues relevant to the industry.
She replaces Jane Bainbridge who is leaving MRS after 6 years to join Pumpkin as head of content. As head of editorial at MRS, Bainbridge was highly commended at last year’s Memcom awards and is a widely respected figure in both the research and media communities.
Jane Frost, chief executive of MRS, said: "While I am very sad to see Jane leave there’s no one better with whom to entrust these tremendous publications than Katie. We are very lucky to have such experienced journalists at MRS and they bring so much more to the Society than merely words – they ensure MRS can take the pulse of the sector at any point, and that benefits everyone."
