SINGAPORE— GfK has announced a trio of senior appointments in the Asia Pacific region as part of the company’s ‘Own the Future’ global corporate strategy.
Frans Janssen (pictured), who was previously MD for Asia, has been given the new role of executive managing director for GfK Asia Pacific, an expanded role that gives him added responsibility for China and Japan.
Previously he oversaw Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, Australia, New Zealand and India operations. Before that he was in charge of Retail and Technology division operations in Latin America for six years.
Janssen is supported by a new managing director for Southeast Asia, Stanley Kee, who was previously regional commercial director for Asia. He joined the firm in 2003.
Finally, Benny Villanueva has been appointed general manager for GfK Philippines, reporting to Stanley Kee. He was a research consultant with Ipsos Taiwan before joining GfK.
