Scott Ernst, global CEO of the Macromill Group, will cover his role and responsibilities in the interim.

Gerritsen (pictured) co-founded MetrixLab in 1999 and saw it through its rapid global expansion. He played a key role in integrating MetrixLab and Macromill following their merger in 2014.

Gerritsen said: “It has been a privilege to co-found, serve and grow MetrixLab from the early days when it was just a handful of people to the global company it is today. I am very proud of the business, its talented employees and impressive international client list. I am positive the company will go from strength to strength in the future.”

Ernst added: “Throughout almost 20 years of constant change, Jan Willem has remained a consistent presence at the helm of MetrixLab. His business acumen, strong leadership and dedication has not only helped grow the company in commercial terms, but it also created the spirit of MetrixLab. We wish him great success in his new venture.”

Details of the “new opportunity” Gerritsen is going to have not be revealed.
