White (pictured) joins the main board on 1st April 2024 as Zoë Ruffels and Nick North complete their terms as members at the end of March after six years in the role.

White has led the MRS Senior Client Council and acted as a judge for the MRS Awards, and has more than 15 years’ experience in client-side research and insight across industries such as retail, telecommunications, energy and financial services.

The MRS board will also welcome James Endersby, chief executive at Opinium, as its new chair on 1st April, replacing Sinead Jefferies.

Jane Frost, chief executive at MRS, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Georgina and James, two highly valued and influential members of the research community, to their new roles. I’d also like to thank Zoë and Nick for their efforts during their time on the MRS main board, and to Sinead for her contributions, initially as a main board member and as MRS chair over the past two years.

“2024 is set to be a pivotal year, from the general elections on the horizon, to the rapid development of generative AI. Against this backdrop, MRS’ work is especially important in promoting the highest standards throughout the sector and underlining the value of good research, insight and data for decision makers – and our main board will be working hard this year to do just that.”

Endersby added: “Georgina brings a wealth of experience in research and insights, and will make a fantastic addition to the board.

“I’m really looking forward to working with her and, of course, to starting my term as chair. There’s no better time than this to be amping up our contributions to our thriving sector.”
