US – Product testing startup Highlight has appointed Priyanka Carr, formerly of SurveyMonkey, to its leadership team as chief operating officer and president.
Carr spent nine years at SurveyMonkey, latterly as chief operating officer, before leaving the business in September 2023.
At Highlight, she will oversee finance, operations, and product strategy and development. Prior to joining the team, she was a member of the Highlight board of directors.
Highlight has also appointed Deirdre Norris as vice-president of product. Her background of managing product, data science and development teams includes roles at SurveyMonkey and AI startup WhoCo.
The additions to Highlight’s leadership team follow the company’s Series A funding in August 2023. Also on the leadership team are Calista Corley, Andrew Sidesinger, Keshia Peris and Anna Shaffer.
Founded in 2020 by former qual researcher Dana Kim and former product designer Ethan Kellough, Highlight offers an automated platform for conducting in-home physical product research. The company is headquartered in New York.
Dana Kim, founder and chief executive and founder at Highlight, said: “We take pride in prioritising a culture that puts people and the planet first, while continuing to delight our customers and build with agility. Bringing on powerhouse executives to supercharge these efforts is a testament not only to the traction and momentum behind us, but more importantly the magnitude of the opportunity ahead.”
