Nunwood client triumphs at Scottish marketing awards

VisitScotland wins International Brand Development Award; commended in Customer Insight category

Nunwood Consulting is celebrating after its client, the Scottish tourist board VisitScotland, won an award for International Brand Development and was highly commended in the Customer Insight category at the inaugural Marketing Excellence Awards Scotland.

VisitScotland worked with Nunwood to develop a programme of international qual and quant research, feeding the results in to its brand repositioning work.

“The result was a radical new creative strategy that launched across eight European markets in summer 2004,” said Jacqui Souter, brand strategy and planning research manager for VisitScotland.

The success in Scotland follows Nunwood's triumph at last year's Research Excellence and Effectiveness Awards. The agency walked off with both the BMRA prize for Best Agency and the MRS/Aura Insight Management Effectiveness gong.

Researchers have been given until 18 May to submit entries for the 2005 awards, due to be held at London's Park Lane Hotel on 25 October.
