As curators of atrocious corporate research rap (or CR-RAP) videos, we’re embarrassed to say this one from Alterian, dating back to February 2010, passed us by.
To be fair, it’s not a bad tune – but it does raise question marks about the value of social media listening. By which I mean, surely someone somewhere has warned that CR-RAP videos are generally a terrible idea. Are you listenin’, Alterian?
If you haven’t cringed enough yet today, check out the Neurofocus rap:
And the Synovate one (the first of this particular micro-genre, we believe):
And, finally, TNS’s TRU video, ‘We Are Youth’.
UPDATE – 16 NOVEMBER
Good news CR-RAP fans – Sapient Nitro has just released a blinder of a music video about how amazing they are as a place to work. Actually, this is just straight up C-RAP – the company is a marketing agency rather than a research agency – but it’s still worth a listen, if only to marvel at how they’ve made a running time of 2:32 feel like an eternity. (Hat-tip to FreshNetworks’ Matt Rhodes.)
