Welcome to Research-live’s Mediawatch blog. Here we’ll be keeping our eyes and ears open for what’s being said and written about research, gathering the most interesting bits here and offering our take on what it all means.
The idea is to keep you up to date on what’s being said, and help oil the wheels of discussion and debate.
In one sense it’ll be an easy job, since research is rarely out of the news (or at least lurking behind the headlines), especially with issues like public engagement, social media, data protection and the accursed recession high on the news agenda. The industry is also blessed with an active blogging community, and we’ll be keeping tabs on that too.
There’s no danger of Mediawatch being short of material, but there is bound to be plenty of stuff we miss, so if there’s anything you want to bring to our attention, please drop us a line at robertb@researchmagazine.co.uk.
