Webtrends seals Associated Press World Cup deal

US— The Associated Press has signed up web analytics firm Webtrends to provide analysis and measurement services for its World Cup mobile application and website.

The app and the mobile website are available in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese and provide football fans with the latest news and scores from the World Cup.

Jeffrey Litvack, general manager of global product development at the AP, said: “We want fans that use our mobile applications to have access to information about the games whenever and wherever they want. With the help of Webtrends, we are provided relevant insight into how the applications are being used. This will help us understand adoption and allow us to measure our usage goals, and what we expect from similar applications. Measurement is an important piece of the experience.”

The AP already uses Webtrends to measure its other digital channels.
