TNS Infratest to cut workforce by 4% following RI merger

GERMANY— TNS Infratest has said it expects to reduce its total workforce by around 4% as part of a restructure following its merger with Research International.

The news came in a short statement released today by the German TNS subsidiary. All of its offices, in Munich, Bielefeld, Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Wetzlar, will remain open.

CEO Hartmut Scheffler (pictured) said TNS Infratest would emerge from the integration stronger, despite the difficult economic conditions.

The firm announced last week that Research International’s German business will trade from now on as TNS Infratest RI.
