UK

Insight Research Group has hired Laura Atkinson as compliance manager, a newly created role at the company. She has been with the firm since 2003. Paul Mannu has also joined the firm as a consultant. He previously ran his own company, Cam Med Research.

Sophia Michael has joined Illuminas as a senior researcher working on telecoms and financial accounts. She was previously at So What Do You Think.

ActiveGroup Ventures has hired Gemma Stephenson as business development manager for Europe. She joins from Research Now where she was product development manager for APAC and EMEA.

Howard Parr has been appointed group director at Phoenix Marketing International. His experience in the healthcare market research sector includes spells with Holden Pearmain and Martin Hamblin.

Andrew O’Connell has been promoted from client development director to VP of client development at Research Now. The firm has also promoted Joanna Webb and Susan Askew to client development directors.

Rufus Weston has been appointed customer insight director at book publisher HarperCollins. He was previously head of digital insight at the BBC’s global news division.

Razor Research has hired Anthony Mancha as an associate director. He joins from Ipsos Mori.

Boxclever has appointed Matt Picton as a research director. He joins from Hall & Partners and has also worked for Millward Brown, the COI and Nunwood.

The Research Partnership has hired Darren Kottler as an associate director. He was most recently at Cegedim Strategic Data.

Jonathan Edwards has joined media agency MEC as data and technology services director within the analytics and insight team.

Pamela Bremmer, formerly of Ipsos Mori, has joined Outlook Research as quantitative associate director.

100%Cotton has appointed Dawn Smith as research director. She was last at Ipsos Mori where she was in charge of employee insight programmes.

John Palmer has been named director of marketing and communications at NatCen Social Research. He was previously a director at communications consultancy Luther Pendragon.

United States and Canada

Youth research agency Ypulse has hired Jake Katz as chief architect. He joins from NBC Universal, where he served as director for trends and primary research.

Insight Strategy Group has named Mia Scelsi as associate director of operations and Andi Glick as senior project manager. Scelsi joined the firm in 2007 while Glick has been there since 2010.

Judah Phillips has joined the advisory team at Rubinson Partners. Phillips is the former head of global analytics for Monster Worldwide.

Healthcare Research & Analytics has appointed G. Matthias Prinz as VP of research and client services. He was last at Market Certitude where he was executive director of client services.

Doug Pryor has been appointed VP of client development at Itracks. Over the course of his career he has had spells with Research Now and Amplitude Research.

Will Gordon has joined Lieberman Research Group as VP for for research sales and client service. Prior to LRG, Gordon held senior positions at Millward Brown, Mercer Management Consulting, Prophet Brand Strategy and Accenture.

Phoenix Marketing International has hired Jim Timony as a vice president.

The Leading Edge has appointed former M&C Saatchi planning director Chrissy Blackburn as head of brand strategy.
